When to order
Our lead time is counted from proof approval. Allow for the artwork round trip before it starts — the digital proof is free and usually turns around in a day.
Order at least 35 days before your wedding date — 17–21 days production and transit, plus a 14-day buffer.

How many wedding fans for your guest count
The rule that matters: one fan per guest, not one per couple. A personalized fan is a favor and a keepsake — guests don’t share it, they keep it. From there, the arithmetic is simple:

- Outdoor summer ceremony? Add 15–20 %: fans get fanned, dropped, carried off by kids, and borrowed for photos. Spares cost cents at these volumes; running out costs the moment.
- Count one per RSVP’d guest, then add the people who never RSVP: photographer, planner, band, and the plus-ones nobody warned you about.
- Keep ten aside for the getting-ready photos and the flat-lay shots — wedding fans for guests double as the prettiest prop of the day.
Names, a photo or the full ceremony program: what prints, what engraves
“Custom” means three different things on this market, and they don’t cost or look the same. All three are available on this page:
- Engraved names & date — burnt by laser into the ribs or guard, no ink involved: nothing fades, rubs off or peels. The classic for engraved wedding fans, and the finish that survives as a keepsake.
- Printed photo — yes, an engagement photo works. Dye sublimation fuses the image into the leaf edge to edge, with no colour limit. Send 300 dpi at print size; our prepress team checks the crop and resolution, and your free digital proof shows the exact framing before anything prints.
- Monogram, text or logo — screen printed in solid, Pantone-matched colour, or sublimated with the rest of the design. One print position and one colour are included in every price on this page.
- The ceremony program on the back — the reverse face prints for $0.55 per fan. Order of service, your names and date, a thank-you line: wedding program fans replace the printed card that ends up under the chairs.
One thing we never do: stickers. A surprising share of cheap “personalized” wedding fans are actually customized with a clear adhesive label — around 35 characters, applied on top of the fan. Everything on this page is printed into the leaf or burnt into the wood itself.

Most “as low as” prices you’ll compare for wedding folding fans exclude the decoration, the setup and the freight — the quote reveals them later. We publish the whole invoice instead: the block at the top of this page prices a typical 100-guest order line by line, and lands at $3.63 per guest, everything included.

- Volume pricing — the quantity breaks below run from $5.58 at 50 units down to $1.44 at 2,000+ units on the 23 cm reference: personalized wedding fans in bulk get cheaper per guest as the list grows.

Silk, lace, wood or paper: choosing the leaf
The leaf decides how the fan photographs, how it survives the day, and what it costs. The honest guide:
- Paper — the budget choice and the best print surface: programs, monograms and full-bleed designs come out crisp. One caveat nobody prints: paper hates humidity. Perfect indoors or in a dry climate; think twice for a beach ceremony. The white favour classic ships with its own organza-style bag.
- Silk & satin — catches golden-hour light like nothing else and shrugs off a humid evening. Real silk in blush is the premium pick when the fan is the favour itself.
- Lace — the vintage and garden-wedding register: tape lace with a matching tassel, more texture than any print can fake.
- Wood, engraved — sandalwood-style openwork or bamboo with your names burnt in: the keepsake option, and the only one where the personalization outlives the marriage certificate’s frame.
The finishing touches guests remember
The accessories are where a bulk order starts feeling like a favour. All of them are priced per unit, on the same invoice:
- Tassel ($0.85) — the detail that reads “gift” instead of “merch”, in a colour matched to your palette.
- Wrist cord ($1.05) — guests dance, fans stay on.
- Individual clear sleeve ($0.50) — keeps each fan pristine from our workshop to the chair.
- Personalized pouch ($0.95) — the take-home packaging, printed with your names or monogram.
Placement, from the weddings we’ve supplied: one fan on each ceremony chair photographs best; a basket at the entrance with a “take one, stay cool” sign works better for standing ceremonies and church pews.

How many hand fans do I need for 100 guests?
Order 110 to 120. One per RSVP'd guest — fans are keepsakes, guests don't share — plus the head table, the officiant, your vendors and a dozen spares. Add 15–20 % for an outdoor summer ceremony.
Do I need one fan per guest or one per couple?
One per guest. A personalized fan is a favor: every guest keeps theirs, and the ones who don't get one will borrow one for the photos anyway.
Can you print our ceremony program on the fans?
Yes — the reverse face prints for $0.55 per fan. Order of service, your names and date, a thank-you note: the program fan replaces the printed card and actually gets used.
Can you print a photo on the fans?
Yes. Dye sublimation fuses a photo — an engagement portrait, for example — into the leaf edge to edge, with no colour limit. Send a 300 dpi image at print size; we check crop and resolution and you approve the exact framing on a free digital proof before production.
Is the design printed directly on the fan or on a sticker?
Printed directly — sublimated into the leaf, screen printed, or laser engraved into the wood. Never an adhesive label. Some of the cheapest 'personalized' wedding fans on the market are customized with a clear sticker of about 35 characters applied on top; none of ours work that way.
What do custom wedding fans cost per guest?
Our prices are published, not quoted: from $1.44 per unit at 2,000+ units down the quantity breaks, $5.58 at the 50-unit minimum for the 23 cm reference — one print position and one colour included, no setup fee. The block at the top of this page prices a complete typical order, freight included, line by line.
What is the minimum order for a small wedding?
50 fans. That covers an intimate ceremony with spares; below that, a personalized print run cannot be costed honestly. Every order, whatever its size, gets the free digital proof.
How far ahead of the wedding should we order?
